Dalton Deschain & the Traveling Show's song "Freakshow" tells the story of Roberta, a transgender woman ostracized from her family and searching for community. When a traveling circus passes through town, the troupe welcomes Roberta and gives her a role as the "bearded lady" in their sideshow.
I directed, animated, and edited the music video for "Freakshow".
For the video's live action segments, I led a multi-camera shoot, lining up shots and giving direction to on-camera talent and background extras.
I also created multiple animated segments, using Autodesk Maya to create articulated digital puppets and light them, bringing shadows to life.
